What a day so far!

Good morning all. What a morning so far... I have to leave to drop off Camden and be at work in about 15 minutes. I still have to load her up, pack the milk and oh PUMP ok so I am going to be late. Before you say 'hey lady, wake up earlier' I was up and going with and hour and a half before I needed to leave and the baby was still sleeping. So where did an hour or so go? Lets see I showered dressed blah blah blah then Camden woke up, got her dressed, warmed the bottle, started eating, went to burp her and BAM, Exorcist child, fountain of milk EVERYWHERE. On the couch, on the blanket, all over me (remind you I am freshly showered and dressed for work ie. nice clothes) all over her. At least mongo helped by licking up the puddle of puked milk between my legs so not to stain the couch anymore than it already had... Thanks Mongo! The best part 4 oz of breastmilk... gone. I then run through the house, set her on the changing table, I stripped and changed, threw in a load of laundry, got her situated and we are now pumping away, Camden is in her bouncy seat chewing on a washcloth because i am not about to risk another milk volcano! I wish gma and gpa good luck with her today. phew what a day and its only 815am!

What will I wish for?

Hello Blog Nation !!!

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to me, Happy birthday to meeeeee, happy birthday to me!

Today, March 30th, I am a whopping 24 years old! I dont have a lot planned with it being a Monday and all, but tomorrow night Adam and I are going over to Adam's gma's for her world famous chicken and dumplings to celebrate my birthday with the family.

This weekend was fun, we had lunch with the bradford's at Noodles and Co. a new place at the Greene. I had never eaten there before and I was pretty pleased. I got the small portion and a salad of on of the italian inspired dishes. Next time I will go for the spicy asian dish and regular size. Last night we were invited to a steak dinner with the WSU baseball coach and team where we had a great meal and lots of fun conversation with the coaching staff ( most of the players just ate and ran.. you know how college boys are). The meal was great and we even took home a few leftovers, Ok mmore like a full plate of mac and cheese and about 5 lbs of steak.. Well at least I dont have to make dinner tonight :-)
Camden has fully recovered from her 4 month appt and her second set of shots, (and so has mom, watching her get those shots just kills me). Camden has been a giggle monster all weekend and she is really starting to play back at Adam and I when we talk and carry on with her... the next few months are going to be awesome.

By the way is Spring here yet?

"So I got bored..."

During my trip to Florida last weekend, Adam sends me an email with the subject "So I got bored" My first gut reaction, Oh no what did he do with the dogs.... just kidding. Earlier in the month we had discussed extending our patio off the back of the house with pavers and making it a fire pit area with some flower beds to mask the dead areas of the the yard where the dogs run in and out day after day. Well Adam did it... no notice, nothing! WOW what an amazing surprise I could not be happier witht he results. I felt like i was on a TV show like "While you were out" or something. Adam started on Friday evening after I left, worked Sat and Sunday with the help of Jason Bradford and Jason Franklin and Adam's mom and grandma (the ladies tended to the front yard landscaping) !!! I cant thank everyone enough and I am so thrilled with the outcome! Thank You Adam and Jason and Jason. (J. Horse Productions)
The firepit is even buried down in the ground in the center of the patio as you see here, please excuse Mongo 'christening' the beds

So Awesome!

Thanks again for a wondreful earlier birthday surprise! Its awesome and I cant wait to use it!
Love you Adam

Sweet baby Camden!

Yes blog nation I know...

ANYWAYS...

The last couple of weeks have been spent getting ready to go to FLORIDA!! Last weekend Camden and I took a plane trip down to my hometown Gainesville FL to see the family. Gma and Gpa and aunt stephanie could hardly contain themselves they were so happy to see us, well Camden. We left Friday evening after a full day of work and got in to Gville about 10pm and then stayed Saturday, Sunday and headed back Monday afternoon for Dayton. WOW it was a whirlwind of a trip and way to short for my liking. When we got their all I saw was my mom Jumping up and down in the airport terminal (mind you the gville airport is the size of my house so she was kinda in the spotlight) everything went smooth that night. However, when I woke up the next morning I was freezing, shaking and not feeling good at all, Camden was fine and ready for action. Thanks to my mom and dad and stephanie I was able to shake my exhaustion illness and was back to my old self by Saturday evening.
Sunday my mom had several close friends and some family over for a meet and greet with camden. She was the star of the show in her cute purple dress and did awesome while being passed to a ton of people. She made it through the whole party without one fussy momment...GO CAMDEN!! It was really cool because Camden got to meet her Great-Grandma Stopka!! and several of her great aunts and uncles and cousins.

The next morning Camden and my mom read the newspaper together and were just 2 peas in a pod, so super cute. My dad drove us to the airport and helped with all the extra stuff a baby requires when flying, stroller etc. Which might I say Camden did awesome on the flights, she slept the whole time and was just a happy little baby during the lay overs. On the las flight from charlotte to dayton she was awake as could be and also had a giant poopy diaper about 5 min after take off, so I got to experience changing a diaper in a 12in by 12in space, 30,000ft above the earth... So technically, I guess I am part of the mile high club!

"320-3888" Press 1 for Nurse

Yes blog nation I know...

about 2.5 weeks ago Camden got a sinus infection which was really no fun at all.

So I just might add this number to my Favorite Five on my cell phone calling plan. As a new parent its common to have questions about your little bundle of joy, but really I think I need to have an intervention. I have spent this months 'blow money' (Dave Ramsey fans, you understand) on the adventures of Pri Med Pedicatrics Clinic-- who knew admission was a much as Disney World. But it is better to be safe than sorry, at least thats what the nurses keep telling me. The doctor knows me by name and out of a practice that has probably close to a 1000 kids if not more... thats impressive or the symptom of a hypochondriac mom... we will just go with the first one.

I think Camden caught my cold that I caught from adam and he caught from his lovely athletes, but unfortunately for her she cant blow her nose and know the relief of a whole box of kleenex, so instead she got the nose sucker and about 10 minutes of torment.

at our 2nd mos appt with camden the Dr. told us she had a umbilical hernia, very small, nothing to worry about UNLESS it was hard, discolored and wouldnt go back in... So we she was super sick her belly button looked just like the disclaimer above, in the car we went andoff to children's medical center. Luckily everything checked out, she did have a fever so that was good to get that diagnosed and Tylenol for infants was our bff for the next couple days. But with an ER trip down and an upper respiratory illness streak over I think I am pro and now having children 10 years apart. haha!

But now all is well, still a little sniffle here and there but nothing to dramatic.

Poof! Three weeks GONE

First a few pics of the babe: Camden-licious!

Whoops! it looks like I was a little busy, the blog was seriously suffering from some abandonment. Ok I am back, three weeks later and so many stories to tell I have forgotten them all. First an update on the most present subject in my life... Camden and baseball season. Camden is now 3mos and one week old. She is doing fabulous, laughing, cooing, singing, spitting, gurgling and farting more than I thought was humanly possible. Wow, first let me say this kid is hilarious she carries on conversations and just razzes her lips like no one else. It really is amazing what a difference a month can make... from a newborn to a baby just like that... I have to say it one more time, WOW!

Since WSU baseball has begun - hints why the blog has been neglected- Adam has been on the road.. A LOT. We have seen him about 4 out of the last 15 days, but this weekend he is home! WSU started their season with a trip to Texas and then the following week to Tulane where Adam and his fellow baseball staff members got to check out what was left of the Mardi Gras celebration in New Orleans. Lets just their perdium for 5 days didnt make it past the first night! haha!

By the end of his last trip, I had come down with one awful cold and finally sucked it up and got some good "drugs" (amoxicilin) on Wednesday. As my mom says, if your snot is green you have an infections, after 3 days of the aforementioned it was time to call in a favor from the hubby -- Thanks for my meds honey and Dr. Ellis. The only bad thing is it looks like Camden is cathing a cold-- this should be fun?!?
