3 for 1 Shots!

Oh la la! 3 for 1... awesome! if your talking about a bar special. However, this one is for Camden. Last Friday was her 2 month checkup and she did great. she is now a whopping 11.5 lbs and 23 in long. today was also her first set of shots... no not tequila, even better DTaP, Tetanus, Polio Hep B and so many more.

Our little peanut showed off crying skills with valor and made us all very proud. After three sticks and one oral vaccine all was calm. I will admit, it so hard to hold back my own tears... I never really understood empathy until that moment.

Pheww... safe for another 2 mos.

And now I think we both deserve that 3 for 1 bar special!

Karma Tank

Soo.. Funny story...

Anyone who knows me, understands that I am not the most coordinated or eloquent person. If you have met my mother; (an ah-ha moment) has just come over you. In an effort to use the last bit of my Babies R US giftcards I finally made it down to the Dayton Mall in Centerville yesterday afternoon after saying I would go for the last 10 days. I first forget my cell phone for the trip and with bad roads due to the snowstorm on Tues and Weds and with 2 mos old Camden in the car I kept wondering if this was such a good idea. Well all went smooth, we got diapers, balmex, pacifiers, boop pads, pheww the whole 9- not a glitch, even $5 left on the gift card. On the way home I kept saying to myself "when in the world am I going to go back down to babies r us to use the last of the this giftcard? hmmm

We made it home safe and sound, and later Adam called to say he had scored some tickets for the Brad Paisley/Dierks Bently concert at Nutter Thursday night.

I was so excited, Camden was going to watch the UD game with gpa and we were gojng to the concert, like a couple of young bucks :-)

Pumping, feeding, dinner all was working out like perfect. We go to load up and I am start looking for my purse, hmmm not in the car, kitchen, bedroom, its NOT ANYWHERE! OH Crap!!!

"Honey, i think I left my purse in the cart at Babies R US, in the parking lot!"
the next move was 411 on the phone and a 5 min wait on hold for someone to answer at the store. Luckily they were open till 9pm, bc it was already 8pm. Finally someone answered, meanwhile I had already made a mental tally of how bad this was going to be if the purse was gone. "Hi did anyone find a purse" "please describe the item" "well its blue, patchwork, it has.... " "yes its here, do you want to get it?" REALLY? ... did they just say that...yes they did. Back to the story, we went down to babies R us for our hot date night, picked up my good as new purse and back home we went.

Needless to say, my karma tank is on empty. Thank you to whoever returned my purse, not to often can you leave your purse in snow covered parking lot, in a cart in the middle of a busy shopping center and have everything be returned, like I said earlier w/o a glitch.

PS If anyone needs to have good works done, my schedule is open!

Oh Mongo...

The worlds greatest dog, thats what we call him anyway. After reading Marley and Me (a gift from my hubby Adam) I have a greater appreciation for the hard work and diligance one must have and that we put forth everyday just chasing a dog around and digging random objects out of his mouth. Lesson 1: research and know what kind of lab one is buying. American vs. English; the difference is far more than an accent. Lesson 2: lock and bolt all doors where you may have a object of any value whatsoever or just trash. Lesson 3: when having a baby buy enough pacifiers for the baby and the dog!

After 2 surgeries in the first 7 mos of life Mongo is an expert at hunting down and swallowing large objects. With the introduction of Camden he has discovered even more fun things... like pacifiers and bottles. It took him about a month to truly find the joy in these two things, but now he is mastering of the art of search and destroy missions. To date we have suffered one entire bottle casualty and 3 pacifiers. Now to his credit, I have not found the bottle evidence, however I cant find the bottle. Mongo is still having bm's and eating his food so if its in his gut, its not bothering him all that bad.

Mellow on the other hand is the older wiser one, she just hidesout in our room and sleeps on the bed all day... with age does come wisdom.

Today Adam has to go to a xmas gift exchange for volleyball, yes christmas party now... I know... its vball... dont ask... we were wrapping his secret Santa gift and decided to see what Mongo would do with the empty wrapping paper roll...

Here is what became of the innocent cardboard tube

all in all total time of destruction = 25 seconds like I said 'Worlds greatest dog'

Time Flys

Here she is... The Star of the show. This picutre was taken earlier this week at Grandma Anna's house while mommy was at work (of course)... She was laughing and cracking up at her g-pa the whole day according to the pick up report I got when I went to see her after work.

Camden is now over 8 weeks and will be an official 2 mos on Wed the 28th. She also goes back to the Dr. for her 2 mos appt and first round of shots, which I am more nervous about than anything. I wish I could just take them for her (hmmm sounds like a mom doesnt it?)

SO I have found the perfect time to blog.... get ready... While PUMPING! I balance the pumps and type away! its great , takes my mind of pumping and how little milk (in the grand scheme of things) I am actually producing. Plus after a while I start to think the pump is talking to me...

I started my job on Jan `12 (training for the first couple days) and wow what a difference. I almost lost my mind and became one of those moms on food stamps and just lives in her slippers and torn up sweats, not wanting to see the outside world, drowning herself in a cup of 3 day old coffee while not have enouh diapers to change her little one...HOWEVER, I learned to cope and with adjusted hours (working 30 instead of 50 a week) I am happy as a clam. I am working a LA Fitness (attempting to climb the corporate ladder) I am one of 2 managers for the whole darn place, I finally get to use a bit of that business degree!

The daily routine is growing on me with each day. I am excited to see how Camden changes and grows over the next couple months. Its flying by in one sense and in another I still see her as a new born.
